Lombok Island is probably one of the easiest tourist destinations to reach within Indonesia. You can travel to Lombok Island by plane from Jakarta, Surabaya and other big cities in Indonesia, or direct fast boat ride from Padang Bai harbor Bali to Lombok Island.

As one of the best tourist destinations, Lombok Island already has an International airport to support some of International flights to Lombok Island. At the moment there are 2 ( two ) International flights operated to Lombok island, Silk Air by Singapore Airline flight’s route Singapore to Lombok and Air Asia flight’s route Kuala Lumpur to Lombok, there are also some of domestic flights from several major cities in Indonesia

1. Getting Lombok Island by Air
Getting Lombok by Air is an easier and quick option to get Lombok Island, if your International flight to Singapore and Malaysia you can continue to taking direct flight to Lombok otherwise you may take International flight to Jakarta Indonesia or Bali Indonesia and then take connecting flight to Lombok Island.

2. Getting Lombok Island by Sea
Another option to catch Lombok is by Sea from Bali, there are some boat companies operated between bali and Lombok. On this option you will get a different sensation and experience, along the way to Lombok crossing Bali’s straits sometime you can see number of dolphins swimming close to the boat  and make your journey unforgotable.

Fast boat option
Fast boat option depart from Padang bay Bali with departure time 09.00 and 11.00 direct to Gili Trawangan and Lombok Island in one hours, all boat operators are provide shuttle service from your Hotel in Bali to Padang bai harbor at following areas : Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur and Tuban. Pick up service from areas mentioned 06.30 – 07.30, once you book the ticket please make sure your Hotel name and contact number. If you stay out side of those area, you may take private transport or taxi service to harbor and please make sure that you should be at the harbor one hour prior of departure time.

Public Ferry 
Public ferry depart every two hours for the sea voyage between Padangbai harbour at Bali and Lembar harbor at Lombok. The Ferry crossing between the islands take approx 4 to 5 hours with ticket cost IDR 50.000/per person per way, the public ferry option is one of the best way for back packer instead of flight and fast boat.
