This species is estimated to have lived since 60 million years ago, with an average size of about 9.7 M (31.8ft) and the shark can live up to 70 years.

Travel itinerary
The tour program starts from Lombok Island, therefore you are advised to stay in Lombok before and after the tour program.
Day 01: Hotel–Kayangan Harbor – Pototano Harbor – Sumbawa – Labuan Jambu, overnight
Picked up from your Hotel in Lombok at 07.00, and 2 hours drive with a private Car to Kayangan harbor in East Lombok.
From Kayangan Harbor, need 2 hours ferry ride to Pototano Harbor at Sumbawa Island. Upon arrival at Sumbawa harbor, continue 4 hours drive through Sumbawa Besar to Labuan Jambu. On the way, you can stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Sumbawa.
Arrive at Labuan Jambu around 4pm, check in at one of the hotels and you will have free time.
Day 02: Labuan Jambu – Teluk Saleh – Labuan Jambu – Back to Lombok
Early wake up ( 03.30 ) and prepare for the boat ride to Teluk Saleh, and then 2 hours a motorized boat ride to the Whale shark point in Teluk Saleh.
6am arrive at the Shark Point and time for you to swim with whale shark and enjoy the great moment, swim side by side with the giant whale shark.
08.00 rest and back to Labuan Jambu, arrive at Hotel and fresh up. Check out and heading to Sumbawa harbor to get the public ferry to Kayangan harbor Lombok. And from there, continue drive to your Hotel. End program.

When is the best time to see the Whale shark?
April to November is a great time to visit and see the Whale Shark, Calm and clear water is ideal for swimming and snorkeling with the Whale Shark.
January to March is not recommended because of bad weather, rough waves, and strong currents.
What should you bring on this trip?
For this trip, you are advised to bring your personal stuff such as a towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimsuit, Mask, snorkeling, a Changing T-shirt, and a first aid Kit.

Deposit and payment method
- 50 % deposit is required.
- Full payment should be received upon pick-up service on the first day.
- Deposit can be paid via online bank transfer or via PayPal.
Cancellation and refund policy
It is important to let you know if any cancellation of tour service due to avoidable/unavoidable reasons, we must be notified of the same in writing, and the cancellation charges would be as follows:
50% charged for cancellation 14 days before the program.
75% cancellation fee for cancellation 7 days before the tour program.
3 days before the tour program or no show, NO REFUND
Strictly prohibition during snorkeling with Whale Shark
- Don’t ever touch or ride the whale shark, it is very dangerous. Their sharp placoid scales can harm you.
- Do not throw out the plastic waste to the conservation area at Teluk Saleh.
- During snorkeling activity, you are advised to make a distance of at least 3 – 4 Meters from the Whale Shark.
- Make sure that you turn off your camera flash, as the bright lights can disturb the sharks.
