Trekking Semeru 4D/3N
Trekking Semeru is one of the best trek package in Java Indonesia after Mount Rinjani Lombok and Mount Semeru is an active volcano in Java with magnificent peak called Mahameru, 3.676 meters above sea level (12.060 feets). Mount Semeru is in Bromo – Tengger-Semeru National Park (TNBTR)
It takes four days return way to trekking Semeru from the base camp in Ranu Pane. To reach the base camp in Ranu Pane, take a white Angkot from Arjosari Terminal to Tumpang (45 minutes). From Tumpang to Ranu Pane you can rent a Jeep for return way or with an alternative vegetable truck ride. After 3 hours trip with a spectacular mountain and waterfall views, you will arrive at Ranu Pane, the last village with 2.200 meters above sea level high. You can hire a porter in this place to carry your stuff.
Trekking Semeru itinerary
Day 01 : Surabaya – Tumpang village
Arrival at Juanda International Airport Surabaya, where you will be met by our guide and transferred for 3 hours to Tumpang village via Malang city dinner and overnight at Rani home stay in Tumpang Village.
Day 02 : Tumpang – Ranu Pani – Kalimati
Breakfast at the homestay. Then go by four-wheel drive to Ranu Pani village, the starting point for climbing Mt. Semeru. After registering, start trekking through the tropical rainforest to Ranu Kumbolo for approximately 3 hours. Lunch will be provided at Ranu Kumbolo. Continue hike to Kalimati campsite via Oro-Oro Ombo and Cemoro Kandang. Dinner at campsite and overnight in tent.
Day 03 : Kalimati – Summit – Ranu Kumbolo – Ranu Pani – Tumpang
Early morning at 1 a.m., wake up for preparing to trek the highest point. Hot tea or coffee and snacks will be provided. Reach the peak in 4 hours, and witness sunrise before heading back to Kalimati for breakfast. Trek down to Ranu Kumbolo and continue to Ranu Pani gate. By Jeep transfer to Tumpang and stay at Rani Homestay.
Day 04 : Tumpang – Surabaya
Breakfast at Homestay and transfered to Juanda Airport in Surabaya | End program

Gubuk Kelakah – Ranu Pane
Gubuk Kelakan id the place where all trekker apply permit registration before continue to Ranu Pane, check point in Ranu Pane and need register your name, medical certificate, permit letter, and national Park entrance fee.
After 9.5 Km hike you will reach Ranu Kumbolo Is first shelter 2.400m above sea level and there is a big fresh water lake and the point to see sunrise rising between two hills, most of beginner trekkers they set their tent here and continue to Kalimati on next day.
Is Camp site where you can set your tent, to reach Kalimati you should hike through famous steep hill called Tanjakan Cinta and behind that, you will see very beautiful grassland called Oro – Oro Ombo.
Is 200 meters higher from Kalimati, need 1 – 2 hours ascend through steep pine fores and some of trekkers set their tents here and another 45 minutes hike you will find “Kelik”, the last vegetation area before the dunes.
Similar in other mountain if you want to go to summit you should start early ( 1am ) and in Semeru you will need 4 – 5 hours to get the Summit, need extra careful and follow your guide mention
